You are a recent graduate or a soon-to-be one with technical expertise (e.g., scientific computing & visualization or cardiovascular engineering or neural engineering etc.,) and would like to transition in to a long and fulfilling research career in the industry or academia. How does one go about making that transition? In today's ultra competitive job market, talent alone is not enough. You have to be able to stand out from your peers. How does one do that? By marketing your personal brand effectively to the right audience. I will be sharing my own brand building experience and offer concrete tips that you can begin to execute immediately towards creating your personal brand.

Bio
Dr. Aras is a SCI Institute Alum and former member of the MacLeod lab. He received a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering Technology from Andrews University and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He completed his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Utah in 2015. He is currently a Postdoctoral Scientist with a research focus on cardiac arrhythmias at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
