Background

I'm a Data Scientist and IT Analyst with a focus on data management and IT infrastructure from Catalonia (Spain). My educational journey includes a Bachelor’s in Marine Science from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Data Science from the Open University of Catalonia. These experiences shaped my understanding of complex data and systems, pushing me towards a career where I can apply this knowledge practically. My role involves managing and implementing IT solutions.
Professionally, I've been fortunate to work on various projects that allowed me to dive deep into cloud technologies, automation, and software development. I have been focused on data management platforms, enhancing back-end infrastructures and ensuring seamless integration across European projects. This role, coupled with past experiences at the SCI Institute, University of Utah, and as a Data Analyst at the Technical University of Catalonia, has honed my skills in not just tackling technical problems but also in contributing to environmental research and data analysis. Throughout, I've aimed to keep learning and growing, understanding that the vast field of IT and data science is ever-evolving.

Current Responsibilities

My main responsibilities revolve around supporting various aspects of systems and software. This includes not only their implementation, deployment, and maintenance but also monitoring their performance, analyzing their efficiency, and ensuring their security. The role is tailored to my background and expertise in computer systems, databases, system software, and networking.
I'm particularly looking forward to contributing to NSF CSSI and NDP projects by building solutions to automate IT processes. This task involves the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom workflows and scripts within a cloud infrastructure. These solutions aim to streamline integration, deployment, monitoring, and other IT tasks, making our systems more efficient and robust. I'll have the opportunity to work on multiple platforms and IT disciplines, including distributed systems.

Research Interests

My research interests lie in the expansive realm of Artificial Intelligence, particularly drawn to the complexities of deep learning and reinforcement learning due to their transformative potential in machine learning and adaptability. Equally, I value data processing and management for their critical role in underpinning AI model development. These focuses complement my background as a Data Scientist and IT Analyst, where I've cultivated a deep appreciation for the synergy between sophisticated AI technologies and robust data infrastructure, aiming to contribute meaningful advancements in these areas.
