Designed especially for neurobiologists, FluoRender is an interactive tool for multi-channel fluorescence microscopy data visualization and analysis.
Deep brain stimulation
BrainStimulator is a set of networks that are used in SCIRun to perform simulations of brain stimulation such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and magnetic transcranial stimulation (TMS).
Developing software tools for science has always been a central vision of the SCI Institute.

supervisor Dr. Charles Hansen

Background

I received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at SDSM&T in South Dakota, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Utah. Most of my professional time has been spent in industry working on firmware and software projects including physics simulations, device networking, sonar systems, and MRI imaging.

Current Responsibilities

Working with Professor Charles Hansen on OpenSpace software which uses 3D rendering to visualize subject matter that ranges from space probe missions to celestial objects of the known universe.

Developing post-processing software for an eye-tracking system which records an expert's gaze upon a visual dataset. The tracking data are used to teach a learning algorithm to recognize patterns of interest.
