Designed especially for neurobiologists, FluoRender is an interactive tool for multi-channel fluorescence microscopy data visualization and analysis.
Deep brain stimulation
BrainStimulator is a set of networks that are used in SCIRun to perform simulations of brain stimulation such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and magnetic transcranial stimulation (TMS).
Developing software tools for science has always been a central vision of the SCI Institute.

Background

  • Ph.D. in Science and Engineering from Hosei University, March 2022
  • M.Eng. in Science and Engineering from Hosei University, September 2020
  • B.S. in Computer Science (Honors) from VNU-HCM University of Information Technology, December 2017
Prior to pursuing his Master's degree, Man worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at EyeQ Tech Vietnam for a year, gaining practical experience in the field. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in machine learning applications. As part of his graduate degree, Man conducted research on learned image and video restoration and compression techniques to address real-world degradation, which led to his thesis titled "A Research on Learned Image/Video Restoration and Compression for Solving Real-World Degradation."

Current Responsibilities

Man is Currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at SCI/University of Utah, where he works alongside Dr. Knudsen, Dr. Tasdizen, and Dr. Whitaker in the field of cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. He focuses his research on developing algorithms for various types of cancer, with a specific emphasis on prostate and kidney cancer.
